Matching your hair colour with the Balmain Extension
Balmain
Extensions come in 11 different shades from very blonde, warm copper
browns to dark brown. Each Balmain shade is made up of 2 or 3 different
colours which makes matching them with your own hair very easy, the
different colours in each shade will blend with your natural hair
picking up on your hair's own tones and highlights.
The best and
easiest way of colour matching is to (which sounds obvious) narrow it
down first by colour (blonde, copper, light brown or dark brown) and
then by tone if your hair has a warm or cool tone to it and it is that
simple.
You may think that your hair is to light or to dark but
the Balmain extensions blend very well, in the salon we had 3 different
clients with 3 different hair colours but they were all the same
extension. Below is a brief description of each colour.
Nordic Blonde
Nordic
blonde is the lightest of all the shades it is made up of 2 different
tones a very white blonde and a slight darker.warmer tone. This would
work if your have bleach highlights or a very blonde all over colour,
it'll be best for block blondes (more Platinum).
Champagne
Champagne
is the next shade down from Nordic Blonde it still has the very white
blonde tone but it has 2 other slightly darker/warmer tones. It will
still blend with bleach highlights and block blondes but it is warmer
so it'll blend better with more creamy blondes than platinum.
Honey Blonde
Honey
Blonde is what the name says it is, it is made up of 2 shades, 1 blonde
with slight warmth (golden Blonde) and 1 that is mid range copper. It's
great for someone with a mix of colours some blonde and some darker.
Dark Sand
Dark
Sand is starting to go from blonde to dark it is a mid range shade, for
people with light brown hair with blonde highlights or someone with
lighter hair with darker low lights. It's made up of 3 tones the same
blonde as honey blonde which is slightly golden and then 1 dark blonde
and finally 1 light brown. Dark Sand is a great colour because it
blends with lot's of different shades. Dark Sand is our number 1 seller.
Warm Caramel
Warm
Caramel has left the blonde shades behind and is now starting to get
darker. Warm caramel is for warm browns with a coppery tone, it is made
up of 3 colours 1 mid range warmish brown and then 2 copper tones which
one of them is slightly lighter than the brown.
Wild Fire
Wild
Fire is the same as Warm Caramel but it is darker. It is made up of 3
tones 1 darkish brown, 1 dark copper and 1 bright lighter copper.
Walnut
Walnut
is drifting away from the copper aide, it is more of a warm brown. It
is made up of 3 tones 1 dark brown, 1 quite light warm brown and 1 that
is between the 2. It'll work great with dark all over colours which
have caramel pieces running through it.
Chocolate Brown
Chocolate Brown again is as the name
describes, it is a nice slightly warm all round brown not to light and
not to dark. It is made up of 3 tones which are all very similar 1
darker tone and 2 which are slightly lighter than each other. It's
great for all natural brown shades or all over block browns.
Dark Espresso
Dark
Espresso is the darkest shade available it is made up of 3 tones 1
black 1 dark brown and 1 light brown. It blends great with dark block
brown but works great with anything from black to brown hair.
Wild Berry
Wild
Berry is one of Balmain's fashion shades it is bright purple, it is
made up of 1 dark purple 1 bright purple and 1 black. It works great in
blonde or dark hair.
Sunburst
Sunburst is
Balmain's second Fashion shade it is bright red copper. It is made up
of 3 tones 1 bright vibrant red 1 red/copper and 1 very bright copper
verging on orange. Again it work great in blonde or dark hair.
Balmain Soft Blend Edge
All
Balmain's HairMakeup products are with the soft blend edge the greatest
innovation when it comes to hair integration and comfort. The curves
shape gives the best integration and blending with your own hair, your
hair runs in between and over the curves which results in the best
possible blending.
The soft blend edge itself is now thinner
because the strip of hair are now placed below and each other not on
top. the curved shapes come close to the scalp and your own hair runs
in between and over the curves, to give smooth integration with your
hair. Balmain Extensions can be placed very close to the parting and
still remain invisible and there is not balky ridges around the head
where they sit.
Balmain MemoryHair - artificial human hair
Balmain
Memoryhair is not real human hair but it is not synthetic it is man
made human hair. It has a fake cuticle which gives it the look and feel
of real human hair but it isn't, the advantages with Balmain MemoryHair
is that the fake cuticle makes it shiny like real hair but it is much
lighter than real human hair which makes the Balmain Extensions really
comfortable to wear all day.
Balmain MemoryHair works in the
same way as human hair it can be curled or straightened by heat tools,
but also like human hair it can be damaged so it's best to keep the
temperature to no higher than 160C. When using heat to change the
appearance of Balmain MemoryHair your must remember 1 important detail,
for the new style to set you MUST allow the hair to cool down 100% in
the shape that you want it to stay in, so what ever shape the hair is
in when it cools that's what it will stay in until the hair is
reheated. So when curling your Balmain Extension it's important to hold
the curls in shape or pin them into pin curls letting them cool in the
desired shape. Memory hair will stay in the shape you put it in until
you reheat and reshape the hair, it will stay put even when wet.
The
most important characteristic is that it feels and moves like your own
hair, whats unique about memory hair is that it feels and blends
easily. The soft touch is mainly a result of the surface and the
diameter of the hair , which is similar to human hair.
Light Weight
Balmain
MemoryHair weights 20% less than your own hair, not only because the
specific C gravity is lower than human hair, but also because of the
different shape, Balmain MemoryHair looks like a B shape and your own
hair is triangular or O shaped.
No colour fade
Another
advantage of Balmain MemoryHair is that the colour does not fade
compared to human hair it's 18 x more resistant to the influence of UV
light.
