Eco Kid made some nice, pure products, they called them Eco Kid because that's what they are - ecologically responsible, kid friendly products (no articial fragrances, colourings or preservatives, non harsh surfactants.)

What is Eco Kid?
Eco Kid is Australian owned and made but more importantly it's primary focus is the Australian Indigenous Flora. 85% of Australia's flowering plants are uniquely Australian and do not occur naturally anywhere else in the world. To provide this unique cleansing ability Eco Kid have sourced and evaluated pure essential oils which are high in natural terpenes and hydrocarbons. Essential oils are not triglycerides like olive oil or grapeseed oil, they are volatile essences made of complex phytochemicals. They are mother nature's chemistry at it's finest.

One most commonly used natural terpene/hydrocarbon is Australian eucalytus oil. It is highly regarded for both it's therapeutic properties and it's stain removing abilities. It has long been used by modern and ancient cultures as a medicine, an infalant, a food, and antiseptic, a skin balm and a fragrance. All of these attributes and many more are due in the main part to the terpenes and hydrocarbons that make up the eucalyptus oil. There are many hundreds of species of eucalyptus, all of which have unique characteristics.

There are hundreds of natural terpene/hydrocarbon containing plant essences found amongst native Australian flora, including tea tree oil (all 127 varieties), lemon scented myrtle oil, Australian blue cypress oil and native citrus oil. It is from this wonderful phyto-chemistry that they have crafted they're unique approach to cleansing the hair and skin.

In today's market place every shampoo is known to use a detergent action as their primary cleansing method. This action is aggressive towards unwanted substances on the hair but unfortunately it is also aggressive to the hair fibre. Eco Kid is formulated with a unique blend of natural terpene/hydrocarbons which act as a solvent cleanser against unwanted substances on the hair, because the hair is not soluble it remains vitally untouched by the cleansing process, resulting in tangle free healthy hair. This process is very similar to the drycleaning process for clothing, dry cleaning fluids are synthetic Hydrocarbons and cleanse extremely delicate garments without deteriorating the fabric.

Eco Kids terpene/hydrocarbon essences are 100% naturally derived and undergo no additional chemical manipulation before they include them in their formulations. When Eco Kid return them to nature after use they are welcomed back to the earth as naturally as they would have been if they were still in the leaf, peel or fibre of the plant from which they came.
In addition Eco Kid formulate with organically certified paw paw extract grown in Australia's Northern Territory. Protease enzymes in the paw paw extract assist in tackling head lice with their own chemistry. Head lice excrete a protease enzyme to unzip their exoskeleton in order to moult. A head louse will moult it's exoskeleton three times before becoming a dreading adult. Eco Kid's inclusion of these natural enzymes aims to promote fatal premature molting molting of the insects exoskeleton and thereby use their own chemistry to battle the problem. These enzymes further assist in gently clearing dead skin cells and promoting a healthy scalp.

Eco Kid is exceptionally effective as a natural cleanser against soluble oils, resins, waxes, and dirt - one application is generally enough to cleanse deeply. All Eco Kid products are water soluble and therefore effortless to remove. If synthetic products (PVP/VA, PVP, Acrylics, Gles, mousse, Hairspray etc) have been used on the hair prior to cleansing with Eco Kid then two or more shampoo application may be required to remove these stubborn substances from the hair.
